On May 19, 2023, the international tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was launched under the organization of the Azerbaijan Archery Federation. Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farhad Hajiyev greeted the teams and wished each of them success in the competition. The 30 and 70 meter archery tournament is held at the Shagan Olympic Complex. The competition will be completed on May 20 with an awarding ceremony for the winners. Azerbaijan Archery Federation was founded in 1993. It is a member of the International Archery Federations Association (FITA) and the European Archery Federations Association (FETA).
